1. Eligibility and accounts
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- One person, one account. Do not share, sell, or transfer your account.
- You must verify your email address to activate your account.
- If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf and supervise your use.
2. Acceptance by signup
When you sign up, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community & Standards Policy. The same documents and obligations apply to both teachers and students. We record your acceptance, including the policy versions in force at that time.
3. Teacher obligations
- Provide truthful identity information and genuine, valid credentials for verification.
- Teach professionally and respectfully, and honour scheduled sessions.
- Do not misuse classroom audio, video, chat, or recording features.
- Comply with our payout eligibility rules and provide accurate payout details.
- Only upload materials you have the right to use and share.
4. Student obligations
- Use the Platform respectfully and for genuine learning.
- Do not share your login or let others use your account.
- Maintain academic honesty and follow session rules set by teachers.
- Do not record, copy, or redistribute sessions or materials without permission.
5. Platform standards and acceptable use
All users must follow our Community & Standards Policy, which prohibits harassment, abuse, unsafe conduct toward minors, illegal content, and misuse of the Platform. Violations may lead to suspension or termination.
6. Classes, sessions, and cancellations
Teachers set and manage classes and live sessions. Sessions may be rescheduled, suspended, or cancelled in line with the interruption and scheduling rules shown in the Platform. We are not responsible for a teacher’s or student’s failure to attend a booked session.
7. Fees, payments, and payouts
- Prices for paid sessions and any Premium features are shown before you pay.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; their terms may also apply.
- Teacher earnings are subject to the platform fee disclosed in the Platform and to applicable taxes.
- Refunds, where offered, follow the rules shown at the time of purchase.
- You are responsible for any taxes that apply to income you earn through the Platform.
8. Intellectual property
The Platform, its software, branding, and content belong to EdgeTech Consults Ltd or its licensors. You retain ownership of materials and content you upload, but you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and deliver that content as needed to operate the Platform and provide the service to your students. You must not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the Platform.
9. AI features
AI-assisted tools are provided to support learning. They are assistive and may produce inaccurate or incomplete answers. They do not replace a qualified teacher, and you should not rely on them as the sole source for important decisions.
10. Live sessions and recordings
You may not record, capture, or redistribute live audio, video, or shared content without authorisation. Where recording is offered as a feature, it is governed by the settings and notices shown in the Platform and by our Privacy Policy.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or our Standards Policy, fails identity verification, poses a risk to others (especially minors), or is used unlawfully. You may close your account at any time; certain records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify EdgeTech Consults Ltd against claims, losses, and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your infringement of another person’s rights.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, without affecting mandatory consumer or data-protection rights you have under the laws of your own country (Uganda or Tanzania). Disputes will be handled by the competent courts, subject to any mandatory local jurisdiction that applies to you.
15. Changes and contact
